Honoring Taylor Goodridge’s Legacy

In honor of Taylor, we hope to inspire more young people to follow in her footsteps, caring for animals and making a difference.

This internship is dedicated to the memory of Taylor Goodridge, a compassionate and spirited 17-year-old Native American enrolled in the Stillaguamish Tribe of Indians. Taylor was one-of-a-kind, with an unmatched personality and a heart full of love for animals—especially dogs. Her connection with dogs was something truly special; they brought her comfort and joy, and in return, she gave them the love and security they longed for.

Tragically, Taylor’s life was cut short on December 20, 2022, due to a preventable infection that went untreated while she was at Diamond Ranch Academy, a facility within the Troubled Teen Industry (TTI). If she were here today, she would be a powerful voice for those who cannot speak for themselves—both human and animal.

After Taylor’s passing, her family wanted to honor her love for rescue dogs and connected with Happy Tails Happy Homes. Together, they have saved multiple dogs, helping them find loving forever homes. This internship was created in Taylor’s honor, giving other teens the opportunity to work with animals and continue the mission she cared so deeply about.
