My Last Litter Program
No blame. No judgment. Just help.
Ending the cycle of unwanted puppies — one last litter at a time.
The My Last Litter Program supports families who want to responsibly place puppies into loving homes and permanently end the cycle of unwanted litters. The program also assists families who might not have the financial resources to care for a litter of puppies or afford spay and neuter services. By surrendering the full litter of puppies to Happy Tails Happy Homes for adoption, families receive compassionate support, veterinary care, and long-term solutions.
How the Program Works
When a full litter of puppies is surrendered to Happy Tails Happy Homes:
• Adult male and female parent dogs qualify for FREE spay/neuter
• Includes core vaccinations
• Up to 4 dogs on the property are covered for spay/neuter services
• Additional spay/neuter resources are provided if more dogs remain on the property
Care of Mom & Puppies
• Mother dog remains with her puppies for 8–10 weeks for healthy emotional and behavioral development
• Care may occur with the owner of the mother dog with support from Happy Tails Happy Homes
• Temporary foster placement is available when possible
• Mother dogs are eligible for spay approximately 11 weeks after birth
Why This Matters
• Helps responsible families place puppies safely and ethically
• Supports families without access to veterinary resources
• Prevents future accidental and unwanted litters
• Improves health outcomes for parent dogs and puppies
Adoption & Spay/Neuter Commitment
• All puppies are adopted through Happy Tails Happy Homes’ adoption process
• Spay/neuter deposits are required for all puppies
• Deposits ensure puppies are altered at the appropriate age (6 months–1 year)
My last litter success stories
-

Kenobi (formerly Barkley) 2025
Kenobi just turned 1 last month and is growing into the sweetest dog. He is still a little shy around people but once he warms up he cannot get enough snuggles! He is active and loves to play and loves his kitty sisters. I adore him and can’t wait to see him grow into himself!

Wynter 2025
What a patient friend Wynter has become. I tore something in my right knee. It put me down for a couple of weeks of not walking him. Then my truck went down too. So I do walk him. I limp and he runs. When I get new wheels, I will get my knee looked at, and I will take him for a ride. He enjoys going for truck rides. Merry Christmas to you all, especially Todd.

Lainey Adopted 2022
Lainey is little bark and no bite! A destroyer of soft toys and a fetcher of frisbees. Her favorite activity is blazing the trail ahead in the mountains, and always comes when dad calls. A puppy who is eager to learn and motivated by delicious kibble. Couldn’t ask for a better adventure pal!
